Propeller shafts
Plasma Service has more than 40 years of experience in the maritime sector. In addition to manufacturing and repairing liners, we also repair propeller shafts. We can also provide new and existing shafts with very wear-resistant sealing fits that exceed the service life of a regular shaft by up to 2 to 3 times.
We can do this for both stainless steel or steel shafts.
Is there damage to the propeller shaft of your cutter, tugboat or ship? Plasma Service BV repairs or improves these so that you can sail again quickly. Our workshop can handle axles with a maximum length of 7 meters and a weight of 3 tons.
Environmentally responsible
By using a thermally sprayed coating from Plasma Service, you get a coating that has a higher corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
So give new or existing axles a longer lifespan or a second chance by having them treated by Plasma Service with a thermally sprayed coating.
Expense
OEM suppliers often charge exorbitant amounts for new genuine parts for their machines. As a customer, you often have no other options because it simply does not fit your configuration.
For a fraction of the new value, Plasma Service ensures that your rotating parts are as good as, or often even better than, new.
Sustainability
If something breaks or you have damage, the first thought is quickly to buy it new. By repairing the part or providing it with a preventive coating, the burden on the environment is reduced. An additional advantage is that repair is faster than manufacturing a new part.
